Motherhood Beyond Bars
The Mission
Motherhood Beyond Bars ensures a healthy start for infants born to incarcerated women by providing a network of comprehensive support for mothers and caregivers.
We support and strengthen families with the goal of long-term, healthy reunification and a permanent end to cycles of incarceration in families.
Bloom’s Impact
Bloom Members were proud to raise $55,000 to support the team at Motherhood Beyond Bars. The grant will help provide much-needed resources to incarcerated mothers, their children, and their families.
How MBB Provides Service to Families
MBB worked with a cohort of five master’s degree students at Georgia State University to develop tools that help tell the stories of the work we do and the families we serve.
This process map is one of the tools—a visual representation of the service MBB provides and the way the organization meets people where they are on the journey to family integration and wholeness.
